Had a parent-teacher meeting last night. The kid is first generation US-Japanese but has been struggling with his composition (not turning in assignments, not staying on topic) and the parent wanted to meet and discuss what can be done to fix the issue.
The meeting did not go well and ended with the parent screaming to my AP that "she refuses to have her son taught by some sukeban yariman". She hesitated before screaming the Japanese, and I wonder if she reverted to it as a way of hopefully not getting in trouble. So after storming out the AP turns to me and asks if I have any idea what the Japanese meant. So I told him ... never saw anyone angry blush before.
