As for the system don't worry. No mods here, just the final version of the rules from the Annihilation book which never came out but which i have anyway, and our first couple scenes have been designed to ease people into the system.

I'm pretty sure only Sam and Sorce have a passing knowledge, if that, so I was thinking maybe we should do some sample rolls to let people understand the character sheets. Hawkeye would be great. And just for confirmation, you're wanting Bow-N-Arrow Hawkeye, right? Not at all Ronin-Hawkeye, as he was currently in the timeline, or Goliath-Hawkeye from many years previous, correct?

If you don't know what I'm talking about then that's even better, and Bow-N-Arrow Hawkeye it'll be. I'll let you decide which costume.

Def meant bow and arrow. I was kinda thinkin' of the one from those shorts that came out a couple years ago (the ones where he went around mostly in a TShirt (and had a bandage on his nose) and got in misadventures, it was quite excellent but the title escapes me unfortunately). I am also fine with the full costumed edition, kind of prefer the more militaristic Avengers style over the purple suit with head wings (or are they supposed to be owl frills?).

Fair warning I am only kind of half knowledgeable of Marvel lore. I like it, have read some series, never kept up on anything though

I see that we all access at vastly different times, so don't worry about getting behind, we'll pause and let people catch up. If we're waiting on someone we haven't seen for a bit, I will likely take their action for them if it goes past a day or so and move to the next person in turn order so as not to bog anything down too much.

No. Tell me the Marvel character you like most/know most about, even if it's the movie version, and I'll find a way to make it work.

Unless all of your favorite stuff/sole knowledge comes from the cinematically perfect Guardians of the Galaxy, which i can't fault you for but which we also won't be using for this story for obvious reasons, in which case I'll just make you Spider-Man. Everyone knows and loves Spider-Man.

History
Orphaned young, Clint and his brother Bernard ran away to join the circus. There Clint met the men who would mentor him, the original Swordsman and Trick-Shot. Both men noticed Clint’s natural abilities and trained him, but Trick-Shot had the greater influence, beginning Clint’s lifelong love of archery. Inspired after watching Iron Man in action, Clint Barton left his brother and the circus, donning a colorful costume to fight crime as Hawkeye. Unfortunately, during Barton’s first outing, the authorities mistook him for one of the criminals he was attempting to stop, and the young man ultimately found himself fighting the very hero who had inspired him in the first place: Iron Man. After some unhappy times on the wrong side of the law, Clint approached the Avengers in an attempt to reform his image, and Iron Man sponsored him for membership. Hawkeye was part of the first serious set of changes in the team’s line-up, a situation that saw him, Captain America, and their teammates forced to prove themselves worthy of name “Avengers” repeatedly. Hawkeye has been on and off the roster of the Avengers over the years, but he has always returned to his allies, even when his choices and moral decisions cost him personally. Barton died as an Avenger, sacrificing himself aboard a Kree warship to save his comrades, a consequence of reality distorted by the Scarlet Witch. More recent manipulation by the Scarlet Witch returned him to the living, confused and uncertain. Most recently, the return of his wife Bobbi "Mockingbird" Morse from the supposed dead following the Secret Invasion of the Skrulls has done a further number on Clint's head, and while initially the pair had tried to rekindle what had been lost, they both have decided that too much time has passed and too much done for them to pick right back up, and they are currently separated. Hawkeye has recently decided to throw himself into "true" superhero work as a way to distract him from all of this.

Personality
Clint Barton is two-parts swashbuckler and one part showman. Win or lose, he’s going to do it his way and with style. He may fight the good fight, but he has fun doing it and shows off every chance he gets. Brash, headstrong, recklessly brave, and sometime much too confident in his own abilities for his safety, Barton is never without a retort and wisecracks on a level that rivals Spider-Man at his most annoying. His friends and allies also see leadership qualities in him to which he himself sometimes seems blind.
