But to put things back on topic, white nationalists tried to recruit a friend of mine today. He didn't respond. He's a Marxist and the fasc creeped on his profile history. Guess they thought since he was already radicalized he could be flipped.

Dude tried to profile him and...tried to convince him to "love himself." Like some kind of weaponized fraternity...one white guy to another kind of thing.

He also tried to encourage him to "get familiar with killing."

The tragedy of the commons only applies to capitalist societies, because capitalist societies are the only ones who encourage destruction of the commons for personal gain.

Commons can be managed and we can see in plenty of societies where they are (virtually all non-capitalist societies throughout history) they weren't destroyed.

You're insisting that communism is undone by a problem the capitalist paradigm creates in the first place.

Naw I hear that. The same people who try to use tragedy of the commons to debunk communism also say "everything that called itself communism is communism" whether or not it actually, well, was communism. I am the first to call out a "No True Scotsman" argument, but when something like communism has an actual definition, and something else that calls itself "communism" ultimately doesn't actually match that definition, it's hardly fair to use it as an example of why communism is inherently bad.

It's like people who try to say socialism must be bad because the Nazis had "socialist" in their name, despite the fact that they were in no way actually socialist. I want to ask those people: does the fact that North Korea calls itself the "Democratic People's Republic" make democracy bad?
