It's a lot harder to get sick from raw egg than raw chicken- basically, in order for harmful bacteria to actually be IN the egg, it had to have been laid by an extremely sick chicken. And even raw chicken won't make you sick most of the time, it's just a high enough risk to make eating it on purpose a bad idea.
Raw eggs get a bad rap, but they really aren't dangerous (kinda like "undercooked" pork, in that way). Especially if you're getting good eggs from a responsible producer, not some poultry factory shithead corporation (I'm looking at you Butterball, you fuck).
