This dlc was definitely worth it.

I never would've even thought it possible as a romance option(-ish).

Yes, that is a bit unexpected. :)
Finally getting round to finishing my Insanity runthrough, which isn't quite as satisfying as previous games plot-wise, as I'm skimming over some threads as I push on to the finish. This has several knock-on effects, of course, but the one that caught me by surprise this time round was

I keep finding videos like this, and realizing how much I've missed out on. It sucks that I'm going to have to play through the whole damn game multiple times to see what amounts to really small changes here and there (ok it doesn't suck THAT much) but wow: next time, I'll have to remain faithful to Garrus and not go for Traynor.
