Posted: Sat Jul 27, 2013 7:04 pmMaybe the solution is for the adoptive parent to let the kid pick his or her own name. That way, parent still feels they've made a difference to the kid, and the kid has buy-in -- crucial to implementing a change successfully, I've found. Plus, get a kid of about the right age, and you're almost bound to get something like Megatron, which definitely counts as cool.
