So, funny thing: Leon actually reached out to me the other day .
We talked about plays, hiking, politics, RPGs, anime, and communism.
It was cool, I had a really good time, and a great conversation.

You know, this actually goes a long way to explain why CB has been on such a steady decline in recent years.

Leon sounds really awkward. But good on him for extending an olive branch.

I listened a little. Your ideas about CPR are... interesting. But if I come to New York I will do a ghost tour with you. My husband eats that shit up.
Oh, and Leon...... hmmmmmmmmmmmm................. should I?

Is that not correct? That's what the EMT told me.
But yeah, I'll totally do one for you guys.

Well, it's not wrong, but it's not exactly right either. CPR's effectiveness really depends on the reason they need CPR, and you can bring someone back with CPR alone from time to time, though usually not for long. Yes, good CPR breaks ribs. No, rescue breaths are no longer prioritized for layperson CPR (because studies showed people spent so much time doing them they lost that built-up intrathoracic pressure and the compressions were less effective). But no, not all patients needing CPR need to be shocked. Some just need oxygen and a breathing tube. Some just need epinephrine. I wouldn't say your instructor was telling you something wrong, I just might not explain things that way.
But as long as you call 911 and keep doing it correctly until a paramedic shows up, whatever.

Hmm, good to know. Most of my medical training is of the "10 miles in the woods" variety (I'm a step below 1st responder) so it's nice to get a med. Professional's opinion on some of this.
