I haven't picked up drawing again but I did lose 170 pounds and started learning spanish

Those are both quality accomplishments, Agent, and you should be proud of them, particularly as you've got there whilst managing depression. Your art will be waiting for you as and when you feel ready to resume. (A comic in Spanish about experiences of ICE incarceration if you're feeling particularly activist, perhaps...)
Vent, you're already ahead of me by starting to do it, although in my defence Spanish is far less important a language to speak here unless one has relatives who've retired to Spain or Gibraltar (c.1.2m Britons have done so). You might want to give Duolingo a go -- it's a more 'learn by doing' approach than Rosetta, I believe, which suits some learning styles better. My wife has revived and significantly improved her French through it.

I should perhaps have mentioned that Duolingo has the distinct advantage of being free. :) Also, what Vent said re Grumble.
