Another new year, another computer game for me to discover years* after its initial release:

You should all be playing Kerbal Space Program because it's fun.

This game has shown me why I should never be in charge of spaceships for NASA, because the astronaut mortality rate would jump 8000%.





*(ok, only 8 months out of beta, but still.)

I've only played the free alpha version years ago. I seen they've added quite a bit since then. I never got into orbit when I was playing, but I did once manage to fall very slowly.

It's fun, but it's a lot of work and planning to get things to work right.

Also, I took this Kotaku article seriously about the best free games on Steam, so I got addicted to Super Crate Box. Also, I tried Path of Exile, and I can't decide if I actually like it, or if it's just my fond memories of Diablo at play.

If the gameplay is similar to Diablo, I'd be wary. We're a lot more prone to tendinitis than we were when D2 came out. ;)

Dude, the heel of my hand (where I unthinkingly put most of the pressure when using my house) started hurting after playing it. I had to take a break.
