Socks with sandals?
Who outside of some woods-going college weirdo in the Northwest actually does that?

People with cold feet who like to wear sandals would be my guess.

British people.

Well I know the British do it, but that's because you're all giant weirdos.

Here in the U.S. , the only specimens seen wandering around in socks with sandals are either misplaced Northwesterners, or old folks over the age of 60 who don't give a flying fuck anymore.

Guilty as charged.

(Must be said, it's a bit infra dig here these days, too, but I blame US cultural encroachment for that.) ;)
