I wouldn't say I'm getting more out of anything - All I said was an excessively and rigid materialist outlook can suck the romance out of life and produce negative emotional states.

I don't think Dex is having the problems with his outlook that I had with mine, when mine was somewhat similar - so that doesn't apply to him, and I honestly have very little concept of what's going on with you, what you believe, or what you even like.

Re: all paths leading to enlightenment, I'd agree that this is a false statement. I think a better way to put what I was trying to say is: "All paths that lead to enlightenment lead to enlightenment."

It seems like a useless tautology, but it is actually a warning against a dogmatic insistence on following one specific path. All paths don't lead to enlightenment - but there are many that do.

Or put in a different way: "If the path you're on has led you to enlightenment, then it was the correct path for you to take."
