((I will at some stage remember I need to nominate someone after I've acted. I think Tombstone may have seen enough to want to do something, now, however. Him next.))

((Indeed. *sniff*.))

"I think I've seen enough," the chalk-white hitman fairly growled under the sound of Iron Fist's "opponents" collapsing in pain. He took one glance back at the black submarine and drew his thumb across his throat, before shoving past his mutant assailants at a dead run to deliver a sweeping haymaker to the Living Weapon of K'un L'un...

((Tombstone Panches Mans Heads! - Solo d10, Brutal Enforcer d8, Superhuman Strength d10, Combat Master d10; spending 1d6 from the Doom Pool to activate PULVERIZER SFX, doubling Superhuman Strength for an additional d10.
d10 - 8, d8 - 3, d10 - 2, d10 - 9, d10 - 9 ....ouch.
Total 18, Effect d10. I could spend a Doom Die to add that 8 I rolled in to my Total as well, for a total of 26, and still totes have 3d6 left in said Doom Pool. The reason I probably SHOULDN'T do this is because of a rule we haven't had to go over yet called Extraordinary Success.

Basically, if your Total beats the person's Reaction Total by 5, you have achieved Extraordinary Success over them, and your Effect die gets Stepped Up by 1. If your Total beats theirs by 10, it gets stepped up twice. If you somehow win by 15, that's three steps up. I am already laying down d10 Physical Damage to Iron Fist; stepping it up by just two would one-shot him. So I probably shouldn't be a dick and spend that Doom Die.

But honestly, reality is a dick sometimes. :/ I don't expect y'all to pull punches in a game either.

IRON FIST - REACTION NEEDED against Total 26, Effect d10

Tombstone nominates Henchman #3 to act next!))

In the very same instant as Tombstone's explosive haymaker, the third henchman's nerve finally gives out; he throws his forearm over his face instinctively and fires blindly in the mutants' direction!

((Henchman #3 sings Shot in the DaaAAaarrk! - Team d6, Maggia Henchman d8, Pistol d6, Combat Expert d8
d6 - 1, d8 - 6, d6 - 6, d8 - 4
Total 12, Effect d8 Physical Stress, and 1 Opportunity (you may choose to spend 1PP for a free d8 on your Reaction) directed at SHADOWCAT!

SHADOWCAT - REACTION NEEDED against Total 12, Effect d8

Henchman #3 nominates CYPHER to act next after Reactions are in!))

((I'm goan react with some incorporealation.

KevBot rolls them rolls: 9 3 6 2

My understanding is that I need to beat the number, and my effect only matters if I want to turn it around on the guy, which at this point I don't, so I can take my two d10s and add them to get 15, which exceeds 12, so I successfully dodge?))

Shadowcat nimbly dives into the ground, avoiding the henchman's shots.

((Unfortunately, you can't perform someone's Reaction for them [which I would see as, like, jumping in front of them or grabbing them to Phase them as you would want], and there's no real way to jump up in the turn order. However, the BEST way to represent what you're wanting to do would have to be anticipatory in nature: on your turn you can make a Roll that includes your Intangibility power, and then declare that you are creating an "Intangibility Asset" that you can then give to Iron Fist. That way, until your next turn or until he uses it up, Iron Fist would have an "Intangibility" Die of your Effect level that he can apply to any Action or Reaction, representing you keeping in contact with him. When this ends on your turn, you can declare your intent to keep holding on to him during the chaos of combat, or break off and attack/do something else. This basically allows your character to play Offense or Defense for the team, but you have to pick which one per action. Obviously, Cypher would have to work this way most of the time [defensively granting other characters insight into villain weaknesses from the sidelines = passing someone an Effect die representing "Weak Spot Identified"].))

Instincts honed by his years of training, Iron Fist twists to face Tombstone's charge. There is clearly a great deal of power behind this attack, and the Living Weapon again calls on the heart of Shou-Lao to lend might to his hands. Focusing his internal energies, Iron Fist scythes a knife-hand block down onto Tombstone's incoming arm, aiming to cut his huge swing short.

((Kung-fu chop! d6 team, d8 Living Weapon, d10x2 enhanced strength, d10 combat master. This yields, respectively: 3, 2, 8, 2, 9 -- 17 with a d10 effect die, on most days a decent result. But Tombstone seems pretty annoyed...))

((Tombstone's Total of 26 beats Iron Fist's Reaction Total of 17 by exactly 9; literally one point makes all the difference between "out of the fight" and "holy kirby's cuticles that hurt but I'm still around gaiz". Tombstone's d10 Effect Die is stepped up by 1 to deliver a total of d12 Physical Stress to Iron Fist.

If Iron Fist suffers just one more level of Physical Stress, he is Knocked Out and can take no more Actions until next scene or someone heals him. If he suffers anything above one more level of Physical Stress, he will start to incur Physical Trauma. This adds a d6 to every single roll against him until his Trauma is recovered, which is much harder to do than Stress; if he suffers more Physical damage, this d6 will step up. Please note that all Stress steps down by 1 at the end of a Scene, but Trauma does not, and attempting to heal it DOES come with a risk of making it worse.

To Heal, someone with the ability to justify doing so can attempt a Recovery Action for Iron Fist, and try to get an Effect die worth at least d10; this will rouse him from inaction at d12 Physical Stress so he can act again, but will also put him back on the enemy radar.))

There was no doubt about it; the Living Weapon of K'un L'un was quick, quicker than snakes, more than quick enough to swat Tombstone's haymaker aside before it crushed every bone in Daniel's face...unfortunately, Tombstone's fists aren't the only things on him that hit like the grave. The momentum of the chalk-white hitman was unstoppable, and Iron Fist didn't even see the wild headbutt coming until it was too late; a sickeningly wet crunch heralded the breaking of Danny Rand's nose as his head popped backward over buckling knees.

((CYPHER, you're up!
Still to act this round: DEADPOOL, LUKE CAGE))

CYPHER using his ability to predict henchman 3's body language guesses at his next action. Using the opportunity created by the panicked shots he moves next to him under the cover of the shadows and attacks his HUMAN WEAKNESS POINTS.

((Agreed on all counts.

Henchman #3 Reacts to Cypher's Attacks - Team d6, Maggia Henchman d8, Combat Expert d8
d6 - 2, d8 - 4, d8 - 3

lol

Cypher's Attack Total of 17 beats the Henchman's Reaction of 7 by 10, thus becoming an Extraordinary Success x2, allowing him to step up his d10 by 2, even though a d10 was already more than a step higher than necessary, so Cypher basically almost lapped this guy's Physical Stress track. So I have to ask, before describing this: Cypher, would you like to dramatically commit an accidental murder here, or just do something really awesome with pressure points that just incapacitates the guy?))
