Ah yes Dex, revolution will change everything.
People play the "game" by nature of the system because in order to affect change it's easier to begin with what's available and work from there.

Not all of us are outspoken, one-track-mind wunderkin like yourself, looking to enact some manner of "revolution" that will incidentally enough be completely benign, totally beneficial and non-violent. A utopian pipe-dream at it's absolute finest.

You hold up minor shit preformed by groups like OWS as examples that it can work, but it's not a strong showing of anything. Hell, there are large churches that affect more in their community than OWS has remotely hoped to achieve.

Working within the system gets you a footstep and a leg up into moving outside the system. But you and the rest of your instant microwave generation wants overnight change. But somehow, without force or violence or bloodshed or any of those other pesky factors that have marred conventional revolutions across the globe and throughout history.

At least you have your misguided enthusiasm... I'm sure that counts for something.

Well good luck finding those "right circumstances" Desp... Until you do, I'm not going to hold my breath.
Though it will warm the cockles of my heart to no end if you hit 60+ and your fabled revolution never failed to materialize. At that point, you'll be most likely be enjoying moderate success as a mediocre playwright or on a co-op somewhere, working the earth and generally frustrated that the glorious notions of your youth were wasted on the populace as a whole. Such is part and parcel of getting old.
