It feels like this thread was superseded by the one I've just replied too, which is entirely possible when people are posting months apart, I suppose, so rather than asking about Discord* here I will simply applaud Rip's point about leaving troubled people be. They often don't need our help to be anxious and depressed. :P

* Look, I'm very unlikely to join a server even if there's a BOB one still running -- I hate real-time interactions because I feel under pressure to stay on until conversations conclude, which sucks when the people you're talking to are GMT+5 or more, which is why I was a news.groupie rather than an IRC user back in the day. The only reason I'm even here is Dex and me happening to frequent the same corner of Usenet for a few years.
