Absentee landlords

We learned about them in history lessons at school, when we covered the Easter Rising and the Irish independence movement. Apparently they were really bad news for virtually everyone except themselves.

They're a huge problem in NYC too. Thanks to those douchebags you could buy a Scottish castle for what it costs to buy/rent a nice apartment in Manhattan.
