name them and evreyone wants to give theirr kids a cool name but if they already haeve a name you cant just give them a ne w one it sucks

Maybe the solution is for the adoptive parent to let the kid pick his or her own name. That way, parent still feels they've made a difference to the kid, and the kid has buy-in -- crucial to implementing a change successfully, I've found. Plus, get a kid of about the right age, and you're almost bound to get something like Megatron, which definitely counts as cool.
